Business Section - Terms And Conditions


The establishment providing the discount or offer:
  • warrants that the discount or offer will conform with the description approved by the Tourist Card office and that products or services sold shall be free from defects in materials or workmanship and will be fit for the purposes for which they are purchased by the card holder.


  • accepts responsibility for and warrants that it will ensure that the discount or offer will be readily available to all Tourist Card holders.


  • agrees that the offer may not be changed or substituted without the prior written approval by the Tourist Card office.


  • acknowledges that Tourist Card makes no representation that any minimum number of sales will result from participation in the scheme.


  • agrees to keep Tourist Card fully indemnified against any costs (including legal fees), claims, damages, and expenses that may be incurred by Tourist Card and its operators as a result of the business provider failing to perform its obligations under this agreement and/or in connection with the supply, or any failure to supply, the discount or offer.


Card Acceptance
  • agrees to check the expiry date together with the name and politely decline to give the discount if the card is invalid (violation of this requirement will lead to that business being removed from the scheme).


  • acknowledges that in the case of advanced bookings and payments, cardholders may advise that they will be using the Tourist Card but in all cases they must present a valid Tourist Card upon arrival.


  • understands that the card holder may be an individual, accompanied by a spouse or companion and children. Groups need to have several cards.


Termination of Agreement
  • agrees that approved business membership in the Tourist Card scheme ceases when the business provider's offer is withdrawn or is no longer available to card holders.


  • agrees to immediately remove all Tourist Card logos from display and remove or withdraw all advertising material containing references to Tourist Card, when business membership in the Tourist Card scheme ceases.


  • agrees that business membership may be withdrawn by the Tourist Card office where the business provider fails to comply with relevant legislative provisions, regulatory guidelines, codes of conduct and standards as are appropriate to the industry or business.


  • understands that the Tourist Card office will remove any withdrawn businesses from the following update of the Discount Booklets and the Web Site. Thus after withdrawal, there might still be Discount Booklets around bearing the withdrawn Discount or Offer.


  • acknowledges that the Tourist Card office may remove, at its discretion, any business members from the scheme.


  • agrees to contact the Tourist Card office in writing when wishing to withdraw from the scheme.
